Bespoke stand for Congrès SFO:
your ophthalmic innovation
demonstrated to practitioners.

Exhibiting at Congrès SFO, the major annual gathering of the French Society of Ophthalmology? In three days, The Good Experience designs, builds and installs your turnkey stand: Alcon, Topcon, Hoya, Santen and Hanita already trust us.

The show at a glance

An expert audience,
a stand that must prove itself.

At the SFO congress, your stand doesn't speak to passing visitors but to practitioners who know exactly what they're looking at: a surgeon assesses an operating microscope, a retinal specialist tests an imaging system, a resident compares before prescribing tomorrow. The congress format, this audience and the latest science in ophthalmology: three reference points that should shape your setup.

The congress

Three days, the ophthalmology gathering.

An annual congress, SFO brings together French-speaking ophthalmologists every spring around the scientific programme of the French Society of Ophthalmology. Its 132nd edition, in 2026, brought together more than 5,300 attendees around the report “From genes to treatments”.

  • Palais des Congrès de Paris, Porte Maillot
  • Annual congress · next edition 24–26 April 2027
  • Report, live surgery and wet labs
The audience

Practitioners who come to train and compare.

Ophthalmologists in private and hospital practice, residents, orthoptists, surgeons: an expert audience, there to attend the talks, handle equipment in wet labs and talk with the sector's manufacturers.

  • 5,300+ attendees in 2026
  • 880+ residents present
  • A 100% professional audience
The context

Gene therapy, imaging and cutting-edge surgery.

Ophthalmology is accelerating: gene therapies, artificial intelligence in imaging, cataract and retinal surgery. Your stand must embody this technological lead, not just display it.

  • 2026 report "From genes to treatments"
  • Imaging, AI & diagnostics
  • Surgery, lenses & therapeutics
The 2026 edition

Technology speaks,
but it still needs staging.

Three days, an audience comparing technologies stand after stand: at a congress this demanding, the quality of your setup counts as much as that of your products.

132nd edition in 2026. The French ophthalmology community gathered from 9 to 11 May at the Palais des Congrès de Paris, Porte Maillot, for another highly successful edition: more than 5,300 attendees, more than 280 scientific sessions and more than 740 speakers, alongside close to 160 industry partners. The next edition will take place from 24 to 26 April 2027, in Paris, Porte Maillot.

Frequently asked questions

You're probably wondering…

It's the core of a stand at Congrès SFO: equipment that gets handled is remembered. We integrate demonstration areas, reinforced power supply, technical tables and lighting designed for imaging, so practitioners and residents can try your devices freely for three days. The Topcon and Alcon stands were designed around real demonstration areas.

Through a bold scenographic approach and an immediately legible brand world. At a congress where the ophthalmology sector gathers in one place, a generic stand disappears. We start from your positioning (innovation, expertise, range) to create a space you can spot from afar, like the premium world of the Topcon stand.

Yes, and it's an asset for an annual event. We design every project with a sustainable option: reclaimed materials, demountable structures that can be reused from one edition to the next, without compromising on the standard of finish expected in a medical setting. A congress that comes back every spring lends itself well to a setup that builds on itself from year to year.

A stand at the SFO congress has to handle the flow of visitors while still allowing for quality conversations. We plan the visitor journey as a set of complementary zones: an open welcome and demonstration areas that draw visitors in, and quieter, more confidential spaces for meetings, training and scientific exchange. The Santen stand was designed around exactly these spaces for dialogue.
